Ladyburn House sits in the South Ayrshire countryside, about an hour from Glasgow Airport and five minutes by car from Maybole railway station. Wherever you are travelling from, we will help you plan the journey.
INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS
Travelling from the USA
Ladyburn House is very accessible for guests travelling from North America, with international airports at Glasgow and Edinburgh and onward travel by car or rail.
Glasgow Airport is the closest major international airport, approximately an hour from Ladyburn House. Edinburgh Airport offers a wider choice of direct US flights and is approximately two hours away by car.
Depending on the season, Edinburgh offers direct US flights from New York, Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Orlando. Glasgow offers a seasonal direct service from New York (Newark). Glasgow also lists an Orlando-area service to Melbourne Orlando International Airport. Routes change throughout the year, so please check current schedules before booking.
Edinburgh is also a practical option, with onward private transfers available to arrange at additional cost.
US passport holders should also check the current UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) requirements before travelling.
If you're travelling long-haul, you may prefer to arrive in Scotland a day earlier so you can settle in before your stay or retreat begins. Extra nights can be discussed individually and are subject to availability.

- Further away, at approximately two hours by car, with a wider choice of direct US flights.

By Train
Maybole railway station is around five minutes by car from Ladyburn House.
From Glasgow Central, travel to Maybole by ScotRail. Depending on the service, the journey may be direct or require a change at Ayr. Check the ScotRail journey planner for the most suitable service on your travel date.
From Edinburgh, connections vary, so please use the ScotRail journey planner to find the best service on your travel date.
Collection from Maybole railway station is complimentary for Ladyburn guests, by prior arrangement.
By Car and Parking
Ladyburn is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes from Glasgow city centre and around 2 hours 10 minutes from Edinburgh. Private parking is complimentary for residential guests.
In Scotland we drive on the left. If you prefer an automatic car, we recommend reserving one in advance as manual transmission is still common in UK hire fleets.
